Here are few interesting shots from the Ape Cave Lava Tubes, near Mt. St. Helens in Washington State. It was PITCH black once you ventured about 200 feet inside, so a camera was mounted to a tripod, and light was “painted” on the cave walls with several flashlights over a long exposure. The bright “bouncing” lights are people walking toward the camera with lanterns. The temperature on the surface was about 70F, while inside the caves was around 40F (cold!).
