It’s getting to be that time of year when I’m usually out and about around sunset time.  The fall seems to always provide for some interesting cloud cover, which can make a great pic IMO. Last night was a GREAT show with a bright orange light shining on a HUGE cloud.  Of course, the camera came out 10 minutes too late, and it was gone.  I *did* manage to get a decent shot of the vette with what little light was left.

We decided to make a quick trip to Silver Falls after work, and some unplanned traffic had us arriving at Silver Falls State Park at 7pm, exactly one hour before the park closed.  A few side benefits of arriving late were complete lack of other people on the trail, as well as one heck of a sunset.

Spent a few hours this weekend catching some action at the 2007 USA Racquetball NW Regional Championships. Local Pro Racquetball up-and-comer Charlie Pratt was onsite to delight the crowds with some fast-paced action. The second photo below is slated to be an 8′ x 8′ wall art at Sunset Athletic Club when its racquetball stadium court expansion opens February 25th, 2008.

Another attempt at hand held exposure bracketing for HDR – The Deschutes River as it runs through Bend, OR.  Some Orton thrown in, to boot.

Here’s another attempt at Mt. Hood (+) Coumbia River Marina (+) Sunset (-) shooting from a moving car.  Besides having my polarizing filter, I’m not sure it’s really that much better .  It did require far less Photoshop finess though ..
