Space Needle

Got to my Hotel a little early for the Microsoft TechReady Partner event, and realized I was just a few blocks away from the Space Needle in downtown Seattle.  After a few not-so-bad test shots with the trusty Blackberry, I decided to pay the $16 for a ride to the top for a few landscapes of the city.  I’m actually pretty impressed with the camera compared to some of my previous phones (HTC 8125, Audiovox 5600).

4th of July on the River

Here’s a shot of the sun setting behind the Interstate Bridge (between Oregon and Washington) taken from the middle of the Columbia River.

Dog Mountain

Anyone who loves hiking several miles straight up a HUGE hill, Dog Mountain is for you.  I will say that anyone with the lung capacity to make it out of the forrest will be greeted by one of the most beautiful views in the Columbia River Gorge.  We got lucky and made the hike just as the top hillside was blooming.  While this picture doesn’t make the trail look too intimidating, notice that little white spec is a person like a half mile away.
